涡轮发动机是一种涡轮发动机。
涡轮发动机分为离心式与轴流式两种。离心式由英国人弗兰克·惠特尔爵士于1930年发明，但是直到1941年装有这种发动机的飞机才第一次上天，也没有参加第二次世界大战。轴流式诞生在德国，并且作为第一种实用的喷气式战斗机Me-262的动力于1944年夏投入战场。相比起离心式涡喷发动机，轴流式具有横截面小，压缩比高的优点，当今的涡喷发动机大多为轴流式。
A turbine engine is a type of turbine engine. Turbine engines are divided into two types: centrifugal and axial flow. The centrifugal was invented by the Englishman Sir Frank Whittle in 1930, but it was not until 1941 that an aircraft equipped with this engine took to the skies for the first time, nor did it take part in World War II. The axial flow was born in Germany and entered the field in the summer of 1944 as the power for the first practical jet fighter, the Me-262. Compared with centrifugal turbojet, axial flow has the advantages of small cross section and high compression ratio, and most of today's turbojet engines are axial flow.
